For Joni Merrill, Pampered Paws & Ponies is more than a business. In many ways, it is a return to where her story began.

Joni grew up on a horse farm in rural Ohio surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, birds, and other small animals. She showed horses and rabbits, groomed the family pets, and prepared her own horses for the show ring—all without realizing that professional grooming was even a career.

Life eventually took her away from the farm and into a 30-year career in hospitality and business leadership. But after a serious automobile accident caused her to reevaluate the direction of her life, a few very special animals helped lead her back to where she started.

Today, Joni combines a lifetime of hands-on animal experience with extensive professional education to provide thoughtful, individualized grooming and skin and coat care in a quiet environment designed around the physical and emotional needs of each animal.

Because through it all, the animal in front of us is what matters most.

A versatile pre-bath treatment designed to break down stubborn oils and buildup while nourishing the skin and coat. Especially helpful for greasy coats and stud tail, it also provides slip to help loosen tangles and make mat removal easier and gentler on the coat.

Formulated with camellia seed, jojoba and argan oils to help leave the coat soft, fluffy and glossy. Suitable for cats and dogs.

How to Use

How to Use

Option 1 — Direct Rinse:
Dilute 1 mL shampoo in 200 mL water (1:200). Pour over the coat, massage gently, then rinse with cool water.

Option 2 — Soak & Pat:
Recommended for long-haired cats. Mix 1 mL shampoo in 1 L water (1:1000). Ladle over the fur and gently pat for 2–3 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

Professional Tip: For maximum volume, reverse blow-dry the coat during drying.
